Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential nominee, can’t be Nigeria’s president in 2023 since that 12 months is the flip of the southern space, in keeping with former governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose.

Senate Confirms 7 Ministerial Nominees

President Muhammadu Buhari’s seven ministerial nominees have all obtained Senate affirmation. 

After being screened earlier than the National Assembly’s higher chamber on Wednesday, they have been formally introduced. Ahmed Lawan, president of the Senate, oversaw the train. 


The information broke just a few days after President Buhari named the ministers and requested their affirmation in a letter to the Senate.

In order to run within the state’s All (*7*) Congress governorship and National Assembly primaries, 4 of Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State’s aides resigned. They have been reinstated as members of the governor’s cupboard on Wednesday. 

They have been Kabir Shu’aibu Charanchi who ran within the Katsina Central Senatorial zone main, Mustapha Kanti who ran within the Daura Senatorial main, and Faruq Jobe who ran within the gubernatorial main.


The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy Simon Imobo-Tswam, has referred to a report (Not by The PUNCH) claiming that his precept has been suspended from the job as inaccurate. 

The suspension, in keeping with the report, got here after a PDP National Working Committee emergency assembly.
