Paula Reid graduated double degree in Psychology and English from the College of William & Mary in 2005. He graduated from Law School of the University of Vilanova with a Juris Doctor. She then took her law exams in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
In 2016, she obtained a Master of Bioethics from the Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania.
During her college years, Paula volunteered for the Lusiana Youth Justice Program in 2006. Between 2007 and 2008, she served as a trainee in the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. She worked as a clerk in the Delaware State Court shortly after which she transferred to law school (2008-2009).
She then moved to Fox29 in Philadelphia to work as a reporter. In January 2010, Paula moved to New York and was hired as a CBS News intern at their research unit. This marked her long-term debut on CBS News
Paula did not hold that position for long as she became production secretary for CBS Evening News in June of that year. She then held the position for a year before taking on another role as a New York based digital journalist from 2011-2014.
2014-to-2018, she was a journalist in the Washington, DC area, and was part of the CBS News legal team in Washington, D.C, while in the role, covering Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign of the Clinton Post Office.
In addition to her career, Paula was one of the few researchers in Charlottesville, Virginia during the Right Rally. This led to the declaration of a state of emergency by Terry McAuliffe.
Starting in 2017, Paula covered the Department of Justice in Washington, DC, for CBS News. She further led the coverage of the CBS network for the investigation of Special Adviser Robert Mueller.
Her position as Washington correspondent for CBS News was assigned to her in April 2018. In her position, she covered the Department of Justice, the White House, and legal affairs.
In April 2019, Paula was named a CBS News White House correspondent. One of the highlights of her work in this role was when she questioned Donald Trump sense of readiness for the COVID-19 pandemic following a travel ban in China. It further challenges the effects of the ban on the economy as a whole.
