Ohio State Makes Decision On Jaxon Smith-Njigba For Penn State Game – Explained!

This season has been fairly irritating for Ohio State broad receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He has been coping with a hamstring damage for the reason that group’s season opener.

Smith-Njigba returned to the sector final Saturday to face Iowa. However, he was unable to complete that recreation. 

Ohio State has an enormous matchup this Saturday in opposition to Penn State. It was simply introduced that Smith-Njigba is not going to be energetic. 

In truth, Smith-Njigba didn’t even journey with the remainder of the group for this weekend’s recreation.

ESPN is reporting that Smith-Njigba’s return timetable is unsure. 

When requested about his star receiver’s standing earlier this week, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day mentioned he would “leave it up to the doctors and professionals in that area.” 

Smith-Njigba had a magical season in 2021, hauling in 95 passes for 1,606 yards and 9 touchdowns. 

So far this season, Smith-Njigba has simply 5 receptions for 43 yards. 

Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka have achieved a superb job of stepping up throughout Smith-Njigba’s absence. They’ve mixed for over 1,300 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. 

Ohio State and Penn State will kick off at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
