Nevayah Cross-Assiniboine Missing Update – Nevayah Cross-Assiniboine Found Safe

UPDATE: Nevayah Cross-Assiniboine has been found and is safe.

A 7-year-old girl is missing from Ochapowace First Nation

On Sunday September 26, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Broadview RCMP received a report of a missing 7-year-old girl, Nevayah Cross-Assiniboine.

Nevayah was last seen at her residence on the Ochapowace First Nation at approximately 7:00 p.m. It is believed that Nevayah left her residence on foot.

Nevayah is described as approximately 4’ 6” tall and 70 lbs. She has brown eyes and brown hair and has a scar in the middle of her forehead. She was last seen wearing a purple Pampers diaper.

Nevayah is non-verbal and may display social and cognitive impairments and communication challenges.

Indian Head RCMP, Moosomin RCMP, Esterhazy RCMP along with RCMP Police Dog Services, RCMP UAV, Whitewood Fire Department, SPS Air Support Unit, local volunteers and community members are assisting with the search for Nevayah.
