Kolby Story is a white woman with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. “She has a nose ring, wings on her back, on her upper back, in the middle,” Kolby Story brother Josh said in describing Story’s tattoo.
Kolby Story was a beautician and she had a skincare routine which she do follow religiously.
Kolby Story was in Venice Beach near the skate park with her boyfriend and a friend on December 6, 2020.
They all returned to her house in Mar Vista at 7pm. At 8:30pm she took her sleeping bag, a backpack, and a ukulele and told her roommate that she was heading back to the beach to spend the time. Kolby Story told t her father the same thing over the phone.
At 10:30pm, Kolby Story called her friend Josh Toedt for help her find her lost keys.
Josh Story who is Kolby brother told the NSC’S Dateline that “It didn’t take long to find the keys, maybe 20 minutes thereabout. But they stayed there for a while. He was trying to get Kolby to leave. Josh told her it wasn’t safe. It was dark and cold. But she told him that go home and that would be fine”.
At around 2am Kolby got into her car, which was said to be parked near Big Daddy’s Pizza.
Kolby started driving in the direction of her house.
According to Josh, Toedt followed her for a while. Josh further said that, “He actually followed her for a bit and she turned right on Pacific from Rose, she took her leave and it was the last time he saw her”.

Is Kolby Story alive or dead?
On Friday the 16th day of July 2021, The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) found human skeleton remains, while inspecting homeless camps near the Venice Beach boardwalk.
The officers found the remains while investigating reports of a woman being detained inside a beach tunnel against her will in the 13700 block of Fiji Way.
Details of how police officers discovered the body has not been made public. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office is currently investigating if the remains belong to the Kolby Story.
It was said that LAPD agents combed a 600-acre area of the Ballona Wetlands while searching for missing woman Kolby Story, who was last seen on December 7.
LAPD began search for Kolby Story after it was confirmed by the department spokesperson that a Good Samaritan got hold of Kolby’s belongings.
According to reports, Kolby’s checkbook and driver’s license were released to the police. Members of the California Office of Emergency Management (COEM) joined LAPD to search for Kolby in the Ballona Wetlands and Ballona Creek Ecological Preserve near Venice Beach.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, her family offered to reward $ 100,000 to anybody that finds Kolby’s.
Kolby’s brother told Patch that, “It’s tough, the unknown and every day the family feels like it gets more and more difficult”.
Kolby family started taking care of her and hung up flyers and talked to people in Venice and Mar Vista. Kolby disappearance was unusual.
