The Academic Staff Union of (*4*) (ASUU) has prolonged it’s ongoing strike by 4 weeks.

Recall that the union had launched into a nationwide strike on February 14. This strike was rolled over by 8 weeks on March 14. Upon seeing that the Federal Government was reluctant in attending to their calls for, ASUU prolonged the strike as soon as once more by 12 weeks within the month of May.

The union took the choice to increase the ongoing strike after a gathering of the National Executive Council which passed off on the Comrade Festus Iyayi National Secretariat, University of Abuja, on Sunday.

In a press release which was signed by the Union’s President, Emmanuel Osodeke, the union stated that the choice to rollover the strike is to present the federal government sufficient time to satisfactorily resolve all of the excellent points. It was additionally said that the rollover strike was efficient from August 1 at precisely 12:01am.
