Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday morning in Allegany County.
At about 5:50 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack responded to a report of a crash at eastbound Interstate-68 east of MV Smith Road in Flintstone, Maryland.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe was touring eastbound I-68 when the driving force failed to barter a proper flip. The car struck a steel guardrail on the left facet and started to skid.

The car traveled throughout the highway to the fitting and struck a steel guardrail on the fitting facet of the highway. The strike on the fitting facet triggered the car to spin out into the roadway the place it was struck by a tractor-trailer.

Two of the passengers, a 37-yr-outdated lady and an 8-yr-outdated woman, had been ejected from the Chevrolet. The woman, recognized as Angelin Reyes Sanchez, of Bloomington, Illinois, was declared deceased on the scene.

The lady, together with the driving force, a 37-yr-outdated male, and 4 different passengers, had been transported to UPMC Western Maryland for remedy of their accidents.

The different passengers included a 27-yr-outdated male, two 19-yr-outdated males and a 16-yr-outdated woman. All of the victims had been from Bloomington, Illinois.

I-68 was closed for about 5 hours following the crash. The Maryland State Police Crash Team, with help from troopers from the Commercial Vehicle (*9*) Division, shall be investigating the case.
